The Ranger R29 was introduced in early 2009 due to strong consumer demand for a trailerable boat with extended living space and a longer range cruising ability. Equipped with efficient, safe, diesel power from a common rail BMW/Yanmar, the R29 achieves a 15 knot cruise speed which gives owners the ability to fight current and get to the destination fast while providing impressive fuel economy. Trim tabs allow the operator to adjust for varying loads in order to maximize efficiency, and bow and stern thrusters make tight maneuvering a snap.
The R29 incorporates many large yacht features such as a convenient pilothouse door at the helm that opens directly to the outside deck for quick access to the deck and dock lines. The forward stateroom features an island berth with separate head and shower. A bi-folding privacy door separates the midship stateroom from the saloon and allows the boat to comfortably sleep six.
Standard features include many things found as options on other boats like a full stereo system, VHF, remote controlled spotlight, a 2.5kW inverter, etc. The list is extensive.
Some popular options include a 15-inch Garmin touch screen display with radar, GPS charts, depth sounder, speed display, autopilot, reverse cycle air conditioning, a generator and canvas.
